Google is Making Mobile-Friendly Websites a Must
If you do not have a mobile-responsive website by April 21st you are going to start having a very hard time trying to rank in Google’s mobile search results. In fact, you are going to be penalized.
Google recently announced a new algorithm update that will significantly impact mobile search results across the globe. The new update will improve the ranking of websites that offer a mobile-friendly experience and effectively shuns those that are behind the times.
As more and more people continue to use their tablets and smartphones to access the internet, you had better get on the boat before you drown in a sea of real estate websites that are keeping up with the times. Google has decided to do this in order to improve mobile the searcher’s experience. Indeed, it is frustrating to search on a phone and have to constantly pinch and zoom in order to click on buttons, read content, and navigate in general.
The move makes sense both on Google’s end and for consumers, but for those of you who have yet to get a mobile responsive website, this is going to be a very costly update for you. Expect to lose website traffic, clients, and revenue.
