Cool and Helpful Technology for Agents
It seems like there’s new technology tools coming out every day. If you blink, you might miss out on the latest and greatest tools that you could be using to improve your business. Here are some of the newer and cooler tech devices that I’ve come across recently.
1.) GoPano Micro. This tool for iPhones is an amazing lens that lets you make 360-degree panoramic videos. Attach the lens to your iPhone and then just start filming. There are versions for the 4S/4 and 5. The Go Pano for the iPhone 6 hasn’t been released yet, but those of you with the 4S/4 or 5 can purchase them for about $100.
If you don’t have an iPhone, but you have a camera, they also make an attachment that goes for a little over $850. Just imagine blowing away potential homebuyers with amazing 360-degree virtual tours while making your sellers happy they chose you to represent them.
2.) DJI Phantom 2. Get one of these cool drones and mount it with a camera like the GoPro HERO4 and you’ll be ready to get areal footage of your listing and the surrounding community. Once you get a hang of it, you can even fly this bad boy through a home to make a unique, complete virtual tour that shows a home and the community in a whole new light.
Be sure to check the rules in your area regarding drones before you purchase one. You can get the Phantom 2 for around $600 and a GoPro for about $500. Which might seem expensive, but you will be bringing more value to your clients, get more interest from potential buyers, and – most likely – end up with more referrals.
3.) Duracell Powermat. If you are a busy agent, then you are probably on your phone often. If you find that your battery life just isn’t long enough, then consider getting a Duracell Powermat.
With this device, you simply place your phone on the cordless mat and it will begin charging. They also have a portable version for when you are traveling. Powermats will run you anywhere from $40 to $70 depending on your needs.
If you are a busy, on-the-go agent, you certainly don’t want to be stuck in traffic with a dead phone when clients and others are trying to get a hold of you. It doesn’t reflect well on you.
4.) inReach Satellite Communicator. So you make sure to have your phone charged all the time, but do you always have a good signal? If you work in areas where you drop calls a lot, or get zero service, then consider getting an inReach Satellite Communicator. People will be able to get a hold of you no matter where you are.
These great devices are small, portable, and only cost around $250. They also come with a top-of-the-line GPS and nautical charts – making this perfect for those who like to travel.
